Alright, I'm done with all my essays and I don't currently have a project, so I went to the Library and looked through some really old Arithmancy texts that looked like they hadn't been opened in decades. I found this really elementary text based on names and value/passion/social numerology.
I'm not quite sure it's accurate in predicting anything at all about personality, but here's mine. I'm a 4 - 9 - 4.
And here's what the textbook says: Like a table that rests solidly on four legs, four indicates stability and firmness. Fours enjoy hard work. They are practical, reliable and down to earth; they prefer logic and reason to flights of fancy. They are good at organization and getting things done. Like the cycle of the four seasons, they are also predictable. They can be stubborn, suspicious, overly practical and prone to angry outbursts.
I'm not sure this can be my value AND my social? Though I guess most of it is actually applicable. Logic and reason and all that.
Nine represents completion and achievement to the fullest degree (as it is the complete number, three, expressed three times). Nines dedicate themselves to service, often as teachers, scientists, and humanitarians. Strongly determined, they work tirelessly and are an inspiration to others. However, they can also be arrogant and conceited when things don't go their way.
This was less accurate than the four, I guess. Unless I'm secretly inspiring someone and don't know it.
If you want, I'll look yours up too! But I'm pretty sure there's no practical application here. The book is antiquated and never opened for a reason, I'm guessing. Plus, the codex it uses is really simple. I mean, a demiguise could figure it out.

Li was right! I was missing a one, and one of my ones was in the wrong place! So, the translation still makes no sense - but at least I know where the mistake was and know it's right, now. I can sleep again.
That's... taken up two weeks of my free time, though. Did I miss anything? Anyone want to catch me up, so I don't have to read all the things I didn't see?

So, I got this journal the day that we came back - mum gave it to me at the train. I was going to write and say something about it, but then there was the feast, and getting to catch up with everyone, and then I got caught up with a gematria set in Arithmancy and I've been fiddling with it all week.

No matter how many times I work it, it doesn't make any sense. I think I might be missing one vector, or substituting Jewish Gematria for English Gematria somewhere. If you're all done talking about grammar, maybe we can focus on something you shouldn't have learned by the time you were ten? Not that most people will try - it isn't for a lesson. I found it on a scrap of paper inside a book on one of the library shelves.
Also, I'm really happy to be back at Hogwarts!
